Join us at our 30th anniversary celebration and AGM Oct 26!

Seeds of Diversity’s Annual General Meeting is held in a different part of the country every year. This year we will be celebrating our 30th anniversary in the “City of Gardens” – beautiful Victoria, BC.

In addition to giving members a chance to participate in AGM business at 11:30, the day will be an opportunity for members  and non-members to connect with each other, meet the board of directors and some long-standing employees, learn more about seeds and seed-saving, and find out about seedy happenings locally and across the country. There will be local seed vendors in attendance, books for sale, workshops, a gourmet lunch, a guest speaker, and of course a seed-exchange table. It will be a full day … all about seeds!

Help us fly all our board members to the AGM by donating your Aeroplan miles to Seeds of Diversity!

Canada is a big country and airfare is expensive! Donate today by going to the link below and clicking "Donate Now".

The day’s activities will include two workshops for participants to choose from: one will cover general seed-saving techniques and the other will delve into a more advanced discussion of the seed movement, ideal for seed company owners and Seedy Saturday organizers.

Local caterers “Little Piggy” will be providing a gourmet lunch featuring fresh, local ingredients, and renowned guest speaker and seed-saver Linda Gilkeson will be speaking on year-round gardening, and selling her books at a discount of 20%.

Admission is free after 2 p.m., allowing people an opportunity to peruse vendors’ tables and learn more about Seeds of Diversity and the important work that our staff and membership continue to do across the country.

If you are anywhere near Victoria this coming October, don’t miss this exciting event! It’s all happening at the Fernwood Community Centre, which has a small urban fruit orchard on-site and is just a block away from the Spring Ridge Commons permaculture garden.

All events are open to members and non-members alike, but pre-registration is necessary by October 21! All events and lunch are included in one low price.

Go to seeds.ca/events for more information and to seeds.ca/register to register for the day.

Come celebrate our 30th Anniversary with us, and help make the next thirty years even more memorable, as we continue saving and sharing the seeds that are a testament to the past and a promise to the future.

Hope to see you there!
